First few burn's fuel Big K Briquettes ok?

I have just got my new Weber one touch premium, 57cm version, hoping the weather warms up soon so I can use it.
I have been reading some of the posts as to what fuel to burn the local shop to me sells the Big K Briquettes at £10.00 for a 10kg bag.
Would this be OK as a start I have always cooked on a gas BBQ in the past when I used a charcoal BBQ I always brought shop rubbish, just looking for something to get me started with my new decent BBQ, that's not going to cost the earth.

I think quite a few people have recommended Big K lumpwood, can't see a problem with their briquettes. Someone with more experience will doubtless confirm this or not.

Well used the Big K Briquettes today thought they were awful lots of dust and vanished very quickly, maybe ok for a quick burger/sausage burn but thought they were pretty rubbish. Also got some Big K lumpwood so will give that a go next.

Used big K briquettes for the first time this weekend. thought they were ok in terms of burn time but found them an absolute shocker to get started. Been using the Weber chimney starter and making noise such as "ooh witchcraft, how does it do it with just a few newspaper sheets?" well when it came to big K briquettes it couldnt do it, 3 goes for one chimney ful. My local store was not as cheap either at £8 for 5kg. all gone now so its b and q lumpwood to try next.......

Before I switched to lump only I used to use Supagrill briquettes, ideally the Cocoshell, nearly impossible to get or the standard version in red bags, stay away from the easy light stuff. You can get them at most Tesco, BP and Sainsbury's petrol stations, failing that Bar-B-Quik were normally ok too. For lumpwood I can't recommend the Big K restaurant lump enough, if you can get it buy the ACH-15 version it is more expensive per kg but contains "select" lump, no tiny bits and longer burning (slightly slower to light). You can order online, minimum delivery 2 bags.
