Typical! Weather forecast has been sunny for Sunday all week, and then this happens:

Yes the worst weather is in the southeast today. So the ribs are going on in about an hour for the the game tonight!!

That's not always the answer. Yes I know it's on paving but there are 4x 10Kg weights one on each corner

How big is that gazebo? Was looking at a 2m x 2m one earlier and it's not too pricey on Amazon. Are they ok to cook in? Looks miserable out!

It was, we use the gazebo more of a sunshade.....okay stop laughing now, come on and I use a rectangular "parasol" over the actual bbqs.
The actual gazebo is 2.5x2.5 Mtr and plenty tall enough, we got ours from a shopping channel and got the side walls and nets included. There are loads of bargains to be had on line and you pays your money & takes your chances.
A word of caution though, if you aren't pegging it down (we're thinking of ground anchors into the paving or a similar method of securing it for next year) and relying on weights the nice looking moulded plastic weights don't allow you to fit any side doors/walls.
Oh and it also smashed into the wall with sufficient force to break the terracotta thermometer and buckle the frame.

On the subject of gazebos,I find the basic one from homebase does a fair job.
Plus at £20 pounds its no problem if it gets wrecked(forgot to take the first one down overnight.and the wind took it.)

Thanks guys, some good tips there. Not sure how we'll secure it as it'd likely sit on the patio with no grass nearby to peg it down, so it'll likely be the weights. I can just sit indoors whilst it cooks though so I guess the side panels won't be too essential.

In that case the cheaper the better, kinda. There are a lot of "inexpensive" models about at superstores, although T'internet's probably your best bet now that summer really is over
