My missus picked these up from Tesco today, does anyone know what type of ribs these are? Spare?
Is a removal of the membrane followed by 3,2,1 my best bet?

They look like spare ribs to me, as at the bottom of the racks in the picture you can see what looks to be the beginning of the rib tips which you only get on spares.

I picked up some of these, I've only had costco baby backs before, and these were quite different. these had wider bones and on the back side there was a triangle of meat and a triangle of membrane (which continued under the triangle of meat). They are pretty heavily trimmed, not much meat on them. Mine were all in the reduced section with 50% off.
I concluded they were heavily trimmed spares.
They are going on on saturday so we shall see what they are like
this might help

They look like loin chops to me, but this is not my strongest suit in the bbq world

Cheers
