Okay other than BBQ what are your comfort food go-tos or strong memories?

Mine - my Mam would line a pudding basin with buttered bread then layer sliced corned beef, alternated with more buttered bread then fill with an egg & milk mix and bake in the oven.

Easy - Lincolnshire sauage toad in the hole with mash, a thick beef gravy....and baked beans

Often mimiced by myself but can't get it the way it tasted when I was a kid.
