Just told the wife that in november i'd booked a place on Harry Soo's 101. Barely got away with that one.
Now how do i explain that i've ordered a new Q, a ProQ frontier to add to the collection.
I suppose i could make a donation to her Yankee candle fund, that might mitigate things

The course will be well worth it and maybe wooing her with your new culinary skills will cut you some slack, however we have all been there and its worth keeping your head down for a while!!!

Any kids? If so today's the day to treat her

Let her see some recipes then try to get her involved. It worked for me......kinda

Are you on the Saturday or Sunday course????

I'll try the logical argument that a man can never have enough bbq's

and i'm looking forward to the Saturday 101 class.

I have a few days grace as the Frontier is out of stock, to make up for it i've ordered a partyQ to go with it. That hole i'm digging keeps getting deeper

Don't forget to build an appropriate length ladder for your ultimate salvation.

Hide it in the garage or at a neighbours or friends for a few weeks and do a few burns, then get it out in your back yard once it has the 'livied in' look and when she asks what it is you say "What? This old thing? We got it last year

"

This isn’t the cheapest hobby, a couple of thousand pound down the line and she still ok about it? Do you think that the trips down to Bond street with my credit card has helped?

The garage is already storing the stick burner which i got last year so can't use that tactic. She is used to kettle and grill type bbq's so a bullet will stick out. I could always try bribery and go the yankee candle route
