New (?) wood chunk vendor

Post by YetiDave »

Hi,

Found this guy through eBay, his site doesn't pop up on Google searches so I thought I'd promote it a little here as it's probably the cheapest place I've found for smoking woods and I don't want him to go out of business! 5 kilos of chunks for under fourteen quid can't be beaten I don't think!

I'm not affiliated with this business in any way, just thought I'd share the good deals :)

Hi Dave

You really need to speak to Paul Goulden. I always get my wood from him and his prices seam better than I could see on that website. his web address is http://bbqsmokingwood.co.uk/. I get a mix of apple and oak about 30kg for £30 and he can deliver as well. The quality of the wood is really good as well.

Someone should really get in touch with this lot:

You can't get pimento wood in the UK (it's apparently very difficult to grow anywhere outside the carribean), and whilst they will ship here, it's expensive.

Last I head they were interested in getting a UK outlet.

I'd certainly be up for some.

In that case I'll get in touch with Goulden's next time I need some chunks, I've got 5kg of hickory to get through at the moment :D I've not been that keen on oak in the past, but maybe mixing it with fruit wood would help
