Raising the hight of prep' tables?

I was going to go and get some plastic tubing cut to raise the hight of my prep' tables and i was wondering if anyone else has done this and if so how long a peice of tube did you get to raise the table up?

I'm thinking 1 + 1/2 ft should do the trick considering the original legs fo the table will sink into it a bit?

DOH!!! Why didn't I think of that    It will save me a fortune. I think kitchen work tops are around 36" and butcher's block is slightly lower

I found out that wickes sell 2m long tubes so i've cut them into 4 and looking at it, they should raise the table nicely :D For £1.50, i think it'll be money well spent, as i don't want to go another season hunched over all weekend.

Those look the same as the ones I've got, but look around online as I'm sure i got mine quite a bit cheaper.

I've not seen any adjustable tables, which is why I've gone for a home made setup. I saw a few others with a similar setup last year which seemed to work well.

All going to come down to your best working height, I have some white plumbing pipe but was also fortunate enough to get some metal extenders when i purchased my sink setup for the outside kitchen. The metal ones have discs on the bottom to make them more stable too! They are a real life saver which ever way you go!
