Pulled Pork Q's?

Hi all,

I smoked/cooked another supermarket boneless pork shoulder yesterday and used some for my sandwiches today, very nice it is too :D

I have a huge amount left on the plate in the fridge (even after SWMBO and the kid all had a good pick at it) and i want to use it for tomorrows bbq/party along with some other things like chicken thighs, wings, sausages and burgers (etc, etc).
What i would like to know is-

1, how do you go about re-heating it?
2, what sauce do you use, home made or shop?
3, if home made whats your recipes?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

I've made this bbq sauce a few times and it is really rather good..
It is called soo-wee sauce - don't know why..

250ml (8 fl oz) apple juice
137ml (4.5fl oz) ketchup
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons molasses (i used black treacle)
1/2 teaspoon pure chili powder
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix the sauce ingredients and
let simmer for about 5 minutes. Then remove the saucepan from the
heat. Taste and add more salt and pepper, if desired.

With the left over pork, bag and freeze. I'm partial to hacking a frozen lump off and defrosting in the microwave, sprinkle on a decent oven pizza to blow out of this world.

I like the Dr Oettekar margaritas, pulled pork, hot sauce and little extra cheese 8-)

I don't know if it's relevant but the sound "soo-wee" is often used at Pig Calling events as beloved in Hillbilly films. It used to be shown on ITV World of Sport in the good old days

Don't forget Les Kellett, Mick McManus and of course Ironman Steve Logan......My dad took me several time to Coronation Baths in Kingston, but that's a story for another time and place. Yes WoS used to show all kinds of sports from Cheese Rolling, using a pole to vault dikes (had to be careful wording that) and the Great British Bog Snorkling Championships amongst others.

As to the pig calling it wasn't as much fun as watching them trying to catch a greased hog... :D

And there we all thought you joined the met for the obvious reasons, excitement, public service, rewarding career, uniform, pension, and really it was for porcine sports viewing! You should have joined the fire service, more TV time!!!!

Probably a bit late in answering this, i use some of my left over pulled pork for nachos. I use a homemade bbq sauce which i make to go with the Pulled Pork from a guy on youtube Man Cave Meals. For the nachos i take a 1/2 onion, dice and sweated down in pan, then add the pork, cook for a few mins then add the sauce, then let simmer for 5-10 minutes, you can also add some peppers to this if you like. I take some nacho chips make a bed of them add some cheese, put under the grill, till the cheese melts, keep an eye as the chips can burn, take out then place pork on top of the nacho chips, then add some more nacho chips to cover up the pork add some more cheese than place under grill till melted, then either use some sour cream to accompany or as i do cut some limes and squeeze lime juice over the nachos. This is my fav recipe to use left over or frozen (defrost first) pulled pork! If you try, i hope you enjoy it!
