hiya all, newbie in name and a newbie to bbq'ing.

am up in the not so sunny north west, i do a bit of cooking in the house but am wanting to learn the secrets of the grill.

Well you're at the right place, at the top right of the page is the search box to search for any answers to questions you may have.
Can I suggest sitting down with a nice cuppa and start reading as many of the posts in the topics you are interested in. Make a few notes of questions then, if you can't find the answers ask away. I only suggest this as a lot of newcomers have similar questions and we can't always remember exactly what advice was given
However you approach your exploration have fun and enjoy, after all that's what it's all about!!

i have been doing just that for a while now, some very interesting stuff indeed, am currently looking for my bbq and cant wait to get going on it.

Welcome friend, looking for a new Q at the moment is the "golden time" would invest heavily this weekend, it may be too late but a swing around garden and DIY centres could net you bargain of the century. Last year I bagged my Weber 57cm kettle for £49 delivered from B and Q.

The danger of course is that you will go bonkers and buy many barbecues, the Lord alone knows I have but it doesn't make me a bad person!

blinkin eck tiny, its a weber i'm opting for, a 57 would be fantastic, i'm actually busy looking on the likes of fleabay for one.

The end of season is a great place to pick up bargains, it might be worth a phone call or two to check stock, granted you may not get the colour you want but saving £100+ who really cares
