Loof Lighter

Anyone seen one of these before?
http://www.macsbbq.com/shop/accessories ... oftlighterLooks quite interesting, even after 3 years of using chimney starters I still chuckle at the days before when I used to have all sorts of issues with lighting charcoal with kindling and newspaper. But I must admit for early smokes this is quite appealing!

Ah bummer, from the vid it looks like they are really quick, but then I guess they are trying to sell a product

I know a couple of people that used them for single events but they didnt seem to catch on...........

I honestly wouldn't waste your money - better with a chimney starter - they really are very slow to get going.

Also it just looks like a standard industrial heat gun with an aluminium tube over the end. Ive got a cheap heatgun that looks like the afterburner on a typhoon, im pretty sure that gets as hot as the looflighter does...
They are likely buying in heat guns from china and putting a new nozzle on the front...
