Maverick ET-73 or ET-732 are probably your best options.

Weber do one, but if you have an iPhone the iGrill is also getting some great press.

I have an iGrill Phil, I would give it a wide birth. The Bluetooth is flaky at best, the alarms are non existent on the ui and the ui is geared for foods only.
It's a nice concept but I blew 100+ notes on it. That would have been two ET732's
IMO i would rate the iGrill 4/10

Good to know Adie, I have been thinking of getting one. I am a sucker for gadgets. If you are looking for wired alternative IKEA do a super cheap one. I have 3.
Is a wireless one worth the extra?

I think it depends on what you want to do. I tend to go to bed when I'm cooking at home so I like to have an alarm and not have to go out unless it's necessary. My old Et73's would reach to the bathroom window so it sat there. The new ones I ordered reach to my bedside table.
Awesome!

I quite fancy the iGrill but I've heard too many owners slating it for the same reasons Adie states above.
I know it's just a low cost off-the shelf BT SOC, apparently it publishes itself as a headset

Makes me think it's a bit of a bodge job.

We'll have to agree to disagree then Al. I think it's shocking.
I have the extra probes too, but it just doesn't perform for me. I genuinely can't see how it's better value than the Redi-check when you look at the setup costs, need for two or more devices like you say an iPad etc if you want to monitor more han one pit, it becomes a pricey toy.
If they do some work on the UI then yea it could be more useful, but I would struggle to justify that over a redi-check to a newbie.

Confused?
If it comes to the UK I may be tempted but not sure I would pay the postage to the UK. I saw the weber wireless one on sale for £30. I didn't buy it because I did not see the need.
I like the idea of using it to get some sleep though, thanks Dr.

Now tempted by the Redi Check.
Stockists anyone?
