To the Portsmouth rabble, and there are a few of us here, there's a new BBQ restaurant opening up in Southsea soon....
https://www.facebook.com/Southsea-Ameri ... 561/about/
There's also one in Manchester which has a website where the menu can be viewed and I presume will also be offered in the Southsea one.
Interesting development!

Portsmouth...'desert'? Think how it feels to be in inland Dorset!

Old chum, you at least have a decent smokehouse in Bournemouth I believe. I traded FB messages with the coves behind this endeavour in Portsmouth......"needs around £750k spending and earliest we will open is March
So lets see if it ever happens.....
Cheers

I hope it does eventually. Unfortunately Bournemouth is an hour away from us - I live in Hicksville. Still, maybe I can persuade the good lady her indoors that the round trip will be worth it one day. Do you know what it's called? Is it The Smoking Outlaw perchance?

Surely they must have the investment already if they've gone to the effort of making a Facebook page!
750k seems like a lot of money. I would assume that they would be leasing the premises rather than buying it outright. Perhaps they're trying to put you off attempting to compete with them.
