Become a BBBQS Barbecue Competition Judge

We are currently looking for volunteers to be judges at our 2010 competitions. We are fortunate enough to have Jackie Weight as BBBQS Head Judge. Jackie has a wealth of BBQ experience, she has attended the cooking school of BBQ legend Ray Lampe and has competed at some of the world's most prestigious BBQ competitions. Jackie is the only non-American to ever win the Jack Danieiels' Invitational outright.
Judges are required to attend the venue on the both days of a competition. On the first day of a competition, judges attend a meeting with the head judge to discuss what to look for, Presentation, Taste & Texture etc. Judges are then required in attendace from 10am on day 2 for judging. Prize giving will finish about 4pm. Other than these commitments, judges are welcome in and around the competition site for the duration of the competition, we're a social society and we wouldn't want our judges to be excluded from the fun!!!
If you think you'd like to be a judge, we'd love to hear from you. We don't ask for any previous experience just a bit of passion for food and especially BBQ!! To enquire about judging opportunities either contact us using our online form or better still join our discussion forum and look out for the public judging forums.
