Re: Temperature probes

More on Inkbird range. As mentioned, it is getting from behind my garage, the length of the garden (about 1.5 standard garage lengths) and into the conservatory/back of the house with no problem. Moving further into the house risks losing the signal, and the front of the house (where my home office ...

Re: Temperature probes

I should add that Bluetooth range seems pretty reasonable. My BBQ is round the back of my garage, so there is a brick wall in between the BBQ and my conservatory, where I would tend to put my phone as a monitor. No problem with the signal, at all.

Re: Temperature probes

I recently bought an Inkbird, and I am very pleased with it.

The one I bought - the IBT-4XS - is 45 quid, and allows up to 4 probes to be used at the same time.

Re: Lil Devil wood pellets

Ah, that was what that mostly garbled message was on my voice-mail! I worked out that it was LWP, but not what they were trying to tell me.

I quite like the Lil Devils, and they are certainly cheap. In fact, those prices are cheaper than the last time I bought from them.

A nice find

Popped into a friend's today, for a cuppa and a chat. On the way home, I had time on my hands, so I drove into Sleaford, to the Design and Craft Centre there - I've driven past the signs many times, and always wondered what it was. It was interesting, but not what I am posting about.

On the way out ...

Re: New toys to go with the Traeger.

Sorry for bringing back this thread. I was using the keyword for searching threads, I overlooked the date was way back 2010. I'm sorry My bad

Not a problem. It was an interesting reminder of how my setup was. I've since had my whole garden redone, with a dedicated BBQ area in a space behind my ...

Re: Worcestershire sauce substitute

You could try making your own, but without the onion.

Perhaps simpler, simply whiz up some selected ingredients - cider vinegar, mixed spices, anchovies, and see what you come up with.

Re: WANTED WANTED: Green Mountain Grill

Best place to get one is the American BBQ Company, who are GMG's agents in the UK.

My recommendation would be to go for the Daniel Boone, and if you find you need more grill area, then buy the little Davy Crockett later.

Why? The price difference between the Daniel Boone and the Jim Bowie is about ...

Pellet Fan

The PelletHeads website has gone through a change of ownership in the past month, and has now been down for over a week.

For anyone using pellets, who misses PelletHeads, but doesn't know where else to go, a number of the previous administrators and moderators have set up a new site. I joined a few ...

Re: Total newbie - advice please!

I've gone through many different grills over the years, but I would agree that a Weber kettle is a great bit of kit to start with. It is versatile and will allow you to learn about both grilling and smoking.

For many people, it is all that they ever need. For others, they will want to move on to ...
