Worcestershire sauce substitute

Post by Jediboy »

Hi
Does anybody know of a substitute for Worcestershire sauce that doesn't have onion? I'm doing a shoulder of lamb recipe tomorrow that uses Worcestershire sauce but one of the guests can't eat onion.
Had a quick google and still looking but wondered if anyone here had any ideas.
Thanks.
Chris

You could try making your own, but without the onion.

Perhaps simpler, simply whiz up some selected ingredients - cider vinegar, mixed spices, anchovies, and see what you come up with.

Henderson's Relish!

It's awesome and only available near Sheffield I believe.
