As far as I am aware the plan is that there will be some competitions organised later in the year.

It will be a case of keeping your ear to the ground.
if you are on FB then join the Torremolinos BBQ Club page, we list all the events organised in Europe including the BBQS events

Hi Alan, I got mine yesterday and found that it didn't stabilise that quickly. I found that the whole number was fairly steady but that the decimal dropped over time and then affected the whole number. This was over a period of more than 2 or 3 seconds. I thought that I would join this thread and try to clarify the Thermapen situation.
The units sold on Ebay are seconds. There will be a small, if not obvious blemish in the case. We have very high standards to maintain here at ETI.
The cheaper units sold on Amazon are those cased in a soon to be ...

I would always say foil.
As for when I do not go by a fixed internal temp.
I foil once the rub has set to a bark.
