Thermapen Thermometers

Post by SmokerRH »

Hi all,

I've noticed that many of you use a Thermapen as an instant read thermometer. After looking into these on their website, I can see there are many different models. Which model do you recommend for BBQ usage?

Thanks again all.

I actually have both the Superfast and the backlit (as this one is great when doing night cooks).

The standard or back lit I'd say. Back lit for night working.
I just got a standard from amazon for 36 quid. Still by ETI.

I just bought the standard on Amazon and after a week am already regretting not getting the backlit one. It seems to be constantly dark at this time of year!

I just take a torch with me when I'm checking temps in the dark. Cannae see what you're stabbing with the thermometer otherwise
