'Jacobs Ladder' Beef Ribs - Cooked on my UDS
Hi Guys,
Just a quick post to show you the 'Jacobs Ladder' Beef Ribs I did on my UDS - 12th July 2017
I've been using my UDS for a couple of years now and this is definitely the best result I have ever had. This was a 2.5kg cut of 'Jacobs Ladder' Beef Ribs. I coated in a dry rub, ran the UDS at ...

Good quality charcoal
Hi fellas,
It's been a while from I've been on here. I'm starting to get the summer time BBQ head on!
I'm wondering where everyone gets their charcoal from? I'm from N.I. and after spending quite a while trying to locate decent quality charcoal, I simply can't find it! All I come across is that ...

Re: Beer Can Chicken
I've only ever did beer can chicken in the oven. It was very nice I have to say, but it wasn't a touch on the spatch cocked chicken done on the UDS. And as someone else said, you don't taste the beer anyway!
I would certainly do beer can chicken again in the oven, but on the smoker it is spatch ...

Re: Beer Can Chicken
I ended up spatchcocking it, and it was absolutely GORGEOUS! The nicest chicken I have ever tasted, hands down, no doubt about it. Beautiful, Juicy, Tender, Succulent, Flavourful, AWESOME!
I struggled to get the temps up, but I put that down to not having enough coal on, so I lit another chimney ...

Re: Beer Can Chicken
Dave I've used my UDS a good few times, but to be honest I still don't know what it's maximum temp is, I've never tried to test it!
I think I might test it tonight, with a few beer. Infact I might even go to Asda after work and get a full chicken to test out as well, spatchcock style...
