Re: rotisserie

I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask there. I've always been of the viewpoint that beer can chicken is a waste of beer and a bit of a gimmick which probably puts me in the minority of BBQers.

I prefer rotisserie chicken as I think it is a more even way of cooking whole birds. The rotisserie is ...

Re: rotisserie

Robin are the results much better then doing a beer can chicken?

I would be looking at using it on a charcoal 67cm weber.

Thanks

Yes I prefer the results to beer can chicken, it's a much more even cook.

Weber 67cm dims

I am getting a new Weber 67cm bbq next week but I am trying to draw up a framework to sit this bbq and my other outback Barbie into with some good work space.
I need to know the distance from the top of the Barbie (with the lid off) to the underside of the ash pan. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Re: Charcoal Basket

Go round a few local steel fabricators as they should have an off cut of some expanded/weldmesh that you could use.

Re: First Brisket

I cooked the brisket for 6 hours in the end and it only reached an internal temp of 180f it was still tender and tasted nice but a little on the dry side.

At 180f a lot of the connective tissue wouldn't have broken down which would have made ...

Re: First Brisket

Thanks Ed,

This brisket weighs 1kg. I thought that the shape would play a part in cooking times rather than the weight because if you have a 2 bits of meat 1 square in shape and 1 rectangular in shape that the rectangular one would cook quicker as heat doesn't have as far to reach the middle of it ...
