So what is the "standard" for BBQ's?

As by simply calculations, 2 x 10kw (20kw) is greater than 3 x 3.5kw (10.5kw), and if 3 x 3.5kw is sufficient, then would 2 x 10kw burn the food?

3.5kw burners

Hi

Partner's gran has just bought us a new BBQ that has 3 x 3.5kw main burners, and a side burner @ 3kw.

Is 3 x 3.5kw for the main part sufficient? I have seen other barbeques that have 2 x 10kw burners - how do they rate against each other for overall cooking?

Re: Correct gas for a new barbeque

Hi Keith

Thanks for your reply.

The new Barbeque definitely has a red regulator attached.

So, given that, are we good to go, or are there different types of red regulator and is there a possibility we have the wrong kind?
