Yes they are excellent ribs. I wrapped mine in a couple of towels and put them up against the bottom step of our staircase and stamped on them. Sounds crude but I was going to make sure they fitted the freezer

When I first bought some of these ribs I too struggled for space but managed to break them in half while still frozen

When I used my UDS out in the open I didn't bother with a chimney because the smoke dispersed easily straight from the bung hole but since I built my shelter I just have a piece of 3" dia steel tubing that I found in a skip that goes over the bung hole so that the smoke disperses above my head ...

Looking good. I made part of mine hinge so it can be closed in rough weather. Mine looks a bit like a stable now though but when it very windy it helps to be able to shut the side

I wedged mine in the top of the drum as I burnt it . The description says they are re furbished so I wouldn't think they would bother to galvanize the lid only and paint the barrel
