Bought the BGE last year and used it constantly however for a number of reasons (including needing to have a patio to stand on, family matters and generally poor weather) it has been sat outside - under cover - for some time.

Looks an interesting proposition and certainly is a more realistic price than the BGE and others.
The dome top temp controller looks to be very similar to a BGE as does the lower vent.

We have BGE and some friends a Monolith - Both in Hampshire, but not a Joe.
The Mono dealer in Poole suggests he'll do discounts. If you can find someone selling an ex demo BGE it might bear fruits.
When the Euro/GBP rate was better you could by a Mono in the EU for comfortably less than in the UK ...

I'm using it at the moment and I have found it to be much more smokey than the BGE stuff I was using before and does contain some impurities (bits of string, brick and plastic so far)
You get what you pay for, it's half the price of BGE stuff.
