Bought the BGE last year and used it constantly however for a number of reasons (including needing to have a patio to stand on, family matters and generally poor weather) it has been sat outside - under cover - for some time.
I want to get it fired up again soon but I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on bringing it back into service following an extended period of cold and damp. Should I warm it through gently or anything?

Can't hurt to have a small cool fire to dry things out. Better safe than sorry I'd say.

Pretty much what I had in mind, just wanted to sanity check it. Thanks.

Makes sense to do a small fire as advised I would think. Check gasket is still nice and snug and there aren't any leaks before you crank it up to nuclear
