Re: Meatopia

I've just bought the ticket, went for the 90quid 6 and 6....well I have missed every other event this year due to work commitments. I deserve it, will be going with an empty belly and my camera.
Anyone else going?

Re: Birch Log Roast Salmon

Thanks guys, I bought it to the table on the log and then served on some couscous with salad. Looked impressive. The birch smoked the fish perfectly while keeping it moist. So yes it did give it lots of flavour.
Give it a go.

Re: Dirty Tomahawk Steaks

Thanks guys, glad you like them.
Such a great way of getting a good crust going.
You can only do this with lumpwood charcoal or actual hardwood logs, I used a combination of lumpwood charcoal and Birch logs.

This is a real cavemans carnivore recipe again from my BBQ, but I won’t apologise, this a real celebration of good, well hung, dry aged Aberdeen Angus beef.

I’ve never really been one for fillet steak, I like a bit more ...

Re: Cheap drum BBQ

Thanks Si,
I'm originally from B-O-S so not too far from you, one day might pop in would love to try your cider, I was spoilt as a youngster went to school with Roger Wilkins of Mudgeleys son Peter, so was bought up on some of the best cider there is. He's a legend, remember long days, helping ...

Cheap drum BBQ

Hope you all having a good weekend?
Just picked up a £40 drum BBQ from Argos for when I'm away from home in Aberdeen, looks a great bit of kit for playing with. Less than half price, I think it'll be ideal for the odd bit of Q when i'm up here.
Just need some storage heater bricks to line it now for ...
