Honestly no I just rubbed them, the taste was OK but too much fat, should have looked on the forum before I started. What was disappointing was when I cleaned smoker out today the amount of charcoal dust present was massive. Used b&q briquettes, never again

Man I've just done my first set of beef ribs, had them in for 8 hours struggled with temp all the time. Got them out and they're really fatty and a complete waste really disappointed
