You'll soon find yourself wanting to do beer can chicken, brisket and pulled pork.

Re: Which gas BBQ to get?
Sold out at Argos unfortunately so I'll need to see what's available elsewhere.
No hurry though, had a good couple of days with the XL20, done a pork loin, brisket, chicken fillets, chicken wings and a couple of beer can chickens. Not being at work is good for my tastebuds but probably bad for my ...

Re: Which gas BBQ to get?
Thanks for the replies guys.
I'd love to go with a Weber but having just spent a small fortune on a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump etc for my car the Weber is out of my price range.
I've been looking for a while now and I think I'll go with the Outback, I wasn't sure about the quality as there ...

Which gas BBQ to get?
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a bit of advice here.....
I'm going to get a gas BBQ to use when I want to cook something and I don't have time to fire up my XL20 and cook something over coals, having said that I will use this for grilling but I will also want to do low and slow on it too.
I'm not sure ...

Re: Completely new, advice please!
Hi Rob,
I've got a ProQ XL and would recommend it, I use it as often as I can mostly for whole chickens but have done briskets and pork too, all with great flavours. It's good value, well made and there's plenty of space inside, I tend to cook a couple of chickens at a time. The aromas that come ...

Re: Beer Can Chicken
I've been doing a lot of beer can chickens lately as the supermarkets and the Co-op are all doing them 3 for £10 (the Co-op chickens seem better than the others) and I've brined a few now and it definately makes a difference to the texture and taste.

Re: ProQ Excel 20 - beer can chicken
The chickens came out great.
I didn't use any water, didn't have a clay saucer so covered the water bowl with tin foil then added heat bricks wrapped in tin foil. the Excel got up to temperature really quickly and I shut the vents down to control the temperature, it stayed at 250 - 257F for hours ...

I've just put a couple of chickens on, I have to say I'm enjoying the practicing. Lets see how I do this time.
