Speaking of dirt, we had 2 steaks done Caveman style over the weekend. We used to do this when we were out in the bush in South Africa, but it lost its appeal in wet south west london with steak cost 3x more. However, if you are going to do it, make sure you get thick cut.

cooked a fillet this way yesterday straight on the coals in the starter chimney. ate with steam in the bag new potatoes and veg . total cooking time 7 mins including zero minutes prep. hot and fast to the max!
