Help Choosing

Post by Chromedome »

Hi all
I'm new on here, i've not got a BBQ yet,but about to buy my first one.
I've seen the Webber range (One Touch) & think thats the one i want....BUT i've seen the Pro Q smokers....do you think i should start with the webber first (i fancy doing 'Beer can chicken') or get a smoker?
Also how smokey flavour does a smoker produce or does it depend on how much wood put in it? My wife says a webber as she can have a 'quick'BBQ
Hope this all makes sense to you, probably a normal noob question

Thanks again

Hi Ian and welcolme,

If it was my first BBQ then the one touch would my advise as this will allow you to grill roast and smoke, its a brill allround machine.

Catch you around ;)

TBH,that was the way i was thinking, but just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing a trick by not getting a Pro Q.

Right then Webber One Touch....Original or Premium ?? worth the difference in price? and probably be a 57cm

Premium is worth the extra money for the ash catcher alone in my opinion, add in the hinged grate and you have a winner.

You might want to also look at http://www.wowbbq.co.ukas they say they like to try to be the cheapest place online for Webers. The One Touch Gold at Garden4Less is certainly a good price at £139 but it looks like it may be ex display model and you have to collect. That should not matter though.

for starting out, one touch all the way, you can still get smoke flavour and its more practical.

Another vote for the one touch here. It's the most versatile tool in my arsenal and if I was only able to have 1 BBQ it would be my one touch. I agree with the comments above, the ash pan alone is worth the extra greenbacks.
