You're more adventurous than I. Live in Florida for over 30 years and never tried it. But then I lead a deprived life, with only beef, chicken, pork, and fish Had lamb twice in the States and it was horrible. Duck a few times, which was good, but you'll never to find it on a menu in my area.
Did try the lamb when visiting Scotland about three years ago. Really good, which the proves stuff I had here was crap cooking. And UK bacon, very nice!

lamb horrible? you've had it cooked all wrong my friend. try looking up a souvlaki recipe and grill it hot and fast, if you are a card carrying carnivore, i defy you not to like it!
2 things I would mention, 1. America hasn't got a clue about decent lamb and they will admit it. 2. I gave out gator as a mystery item in ready steady Q this year and out of 8, 2 completely "messed up" 4 were pretty good and 2, wow!
I think the whole point of BBQ is to turn something poor (ie brisket) or unexpected (gator) into a great dish.
