Re: First BBQ
Yeah if you can find one that's not painted in any way, I wouldn't chance a golden Virginia one or similar in case there are any nasties in the paint.keith157 wrote:Or I assume an old tobacco tin with holes in, mind you they are at near antique status these days
Reminds me, I once met a bloke who cold smoked salmon with oak dust and crumbled hamlet cigars, it was fecking rank

Re: First BBQ
Or if your spending good money on a gas BBQ get them to throw in the smoker box for free and not spoil the look with your homemade box

Re: First BBQ
Spoil the look??????
Alternatively get them to knock the cost of the smoker box off as a discount, spend that £10 on some meat and have your ugly smoker box taking up less space under the lid that will be closed anyway

Re: First BBQ
Have anyone used these smokers?

Is this a good smoker? I could get this and an £100 gas BBQ and be sorted...

Re: First BBQ
It will work but requires some modification to easily achieve good results, in my opinion you would be better off with a weber one touch or a ProQ Frontier, a little bit more money but well spent in the long run. If you google brinkmann gourmet modifications you will get loads of info.ricjd wrote:Have anyone used these smokers?
