Smoking Gun

Post by LM600 »

As I have been a (mainly) good Boy throughout 2011 Santa left one of these under the tree...

(It was sourced from a UK supplier so the dog found out from one of the reindeers...)

Anyway, I plan on giving it a trial run this weekend with some cheese, see how it comes out. Then I have plans for a Heath Robinson smoking chamber to be used with it. Hopefully I will be able to create bacon out of 1/2 loins now instead of cutting them up!

James Martin used one on Saturday kitchen a couple of weeks ago he squirted smoke into a container, covered it in cling film and left it for a while. A light gentle smoke was what he reported not as strong as proper smoking but doable in your own kitchen (paraphrasing a bit here).
