NEW WSM INITIAL FIRING

Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

Mine is a works one, although I dont work for that company anymore but they still let me use the number and I pay cash so it isnt a problem.
One thing I'm still a little confused about is the minion method. I've now seen 3 different ways of doing it.

1) Circle of un-lit briquettes around the outside of the charcoal basket with a hole in the centre and then dump lit briquettes into this hole.

2) A layer of lit briquettes or charcoal on the bottom of the basket with a layer of un-lit fuel on top.

3) A layer of un-lit briquettes or charcoal on the bottom of the basket with a layer of lit fuel on top.

So what do you reckon?

I don't think it really matters - I've tried several variants and they tend to all behave in a similar fashion in my experience
