good luck with ya new project...

i will add more pics of my build when i get rest of my bits
finding the stainless steal bolts is a pain b&q and wick stock zinc or galvanised bolts only.!

goin to serch ebay. unless someone got a link for me
plus whats best size was thinking m8 x65mm or ?

eBay is cracking for stainless bits and bobs. I've got a local iron monger who's good but if he can't help me I use fleabay. There's a seller called the bolt man who generally has all the nuts, bolts, screws and washers you'll need and he delivers quickly.

M6 is perfectly adequate for your grill rests, I always use a penny washer on the inside too.

Needc idea for coal basket. Struggling to find some expanded metal for right price
Anyone got any ideas on what else I could use. Or any links to other charcoal basket builds ..
ps bolts on way..

Three words, washing machine drum. :lol:

You might have to do some hacking to get a bit more air flow but if I remember correctly yeti used drums for his uds successfully.

Steve i read a few posts bk that you used a pro q charcoal basket . how did u find it ?
if ok what was burn time on full basket ?

fudge it spent age's today going round diys shops trying to find some expanded metal

so i just bought the pro q coal basket from macs . will add some feet to it and should do me.
got mi cookin grill sorted from ebay. thats it wait for parts then will add some more pics.

The Pro Q charcoal basket works well. I only used it because I got it free. Mine is mounted on stainless bolts above an 18" pizza pan which is my ash catcher.

It's currently being used in Neil's BWS clone very successfully too.
