Sounds like a great idea. Last year I went all in and competed in all 4 main categories. Found it a bit overwhelming but enjoyed it massivley. Loads of people more than willing to help out. Would of been better if I started off with just the two and then progressed on to all the mains, sides and anything but.

I would be interested in the first option,

Very good idea for those on a budget, But which 2 categories to choose..?

Yeah I agree - there's a few people I think holding back until they've practised more, this would take the pressure off being a "full" competitor.

If this will also be the case for Brighton Paddle, I would like to do this at that event. Just getting in there early :D

Sounds like a damn good plan... Would like to get into the Comp side of things too but still at that practice stage (first ribs today) but and visiting Grillstock and also the Mayhem weekend is at the end of my holiday in May..... so may stop by and say hi....
