Hi Guys and Gals

I just wanted to introduce myself.

I am Phil and I am from Lincolnshire. My twitter is @philnewts should you be so inclined.

I have recently been bitten by the BBQ bug. I have long been a "foodie" and have always enjoyed summer food cooked outdoors, burgers etc.

However since I purchased a Weber Q 220 I have expanded my interest of outdoor cookery I have been exploring the true art of BBQ.

Wow have I learned alot. This included watching BBQ Pitmasters from the USA, reading many recipe books and even developing my first "secret rub".

I am now looking at purchasing the Pro Q Excel 20 to be ale to practice proper low and slow and would love to compete in the future.

I am also thinking about registering as a judge to get a better understanding but this is still early days and I wanted to join a community to share my new found passion.

I have also purchased a Cobb BBQ so I can enjoy my summer break in Brighton and at Guilfest whilst cooking for friends.
