- Get a fire box door with better fine adjustment of air flow - my hotchpotch approach is working but it's not as insulated as I'd like it to be.
- Install a metal baffle plate inside the cooking chamber that directs the heat and smoke along the length of the smoker, and then returns under the grills - this should make it much easier to even the temperature across the grill. I'd have to move the chimney too, but that's just a question of flipping a few breeze blocks.
