Did you find the 12kg stuff took a while to get going? Used some tonight and it took ages to get a glowing bed of coals compared to the BGE lump, if the 15kg lump burns hotter and for longer it will probably take even longer to get going?!KamadoSimon wrote:I'd be in for some too please. I used the 12kg bags recently & they've been the best so far. So if the 15kgs are better....

Haven't used BGE lump - but will pick up a bag tomorrow as going via a flagship stockist in Wakefield. So will compare next week. I allow half-hour to get up to high temperature. Have to let it burn for 15 mins or so with the dome open.
Other factor is BGE lump is more than £2 per KG.

Oh yes the price is crippling only had the bag that came with me XL. Would be good to get your opinion, it's nice charcoal just way to much money so want the BigK stuff to work, will experiment more over the weekend.

Seriously underestimated the size of the 15k bags, somehow i imagined them smaller. Just taken delivery of 4 bags of the restaurant grade and dont think i will need to buy again this year!
Half a pallet , 20 bags you guys are serious
Happy daze
smoke / heat haze.....
