Re: READING CHILLI COOK OFF
Thanks guys.
It was a fantastic day and some of the other teams cooked some great chilli. I knew we'd be up there come judging but I tasted a couple that were on par with ours.
Speaking to the judges afterwards, they loved the smoke as it added another dimension. We also salted and smoked sausage and belly which was then chopped and added to the chilli. One judge said these were like little nuggets of happiness and after judging they went back to fish more out of our turn in
I'd like to thank Jon Doody and all the volunteers who ran the whole festival. They did an awesome job and it was a great event for everyone involved. There was a fair bit of interest in the smoker so I hope we might see some new forum members too after I plugged the site to everyone.
I also tried the hottest pizza in the world. Apparently it comes in at a staggering 3.2 million Scoville units. It was fecking evil and it's creators should be punished
i only had two bites and I was in pain for some time afterwards. Neil was shocked to see something hot finally give me a kicking

Re: READING CHILLI COOK OFF
I can write up what I did but couldn't give quantities as I did completely by eye followed by taste. But I'm happy to share the complete list of ingredients.
