Big BBQ & Music Festival Prizes

Post by Toby »

Prize breakdown for The Big BBQ and Music Festival

We are paying places 1st through 10th for the 4 main categories and 1st to 3rd for Sauce, Anything But and Dessert.

Grand Champion receives £1,000 and Reserve Grand Champion £550. We are also providing 2 fighting funds for the GC* to compete in the Jack Daniels and American Royal invitational, funds total £2,000 each and are used to book flights, hotel accommodation ect by IBQN plus $$ for the trip.

Prize Pay out for main categories

1st £130
2nd £120
3rd £110
4th £100
5th £90
6th £80
7th £70
8th £60
9th £50
10th £40

Sides pay
1st £130
2nd £120
3rd £110

So a working example, smoking penguins attended their first competition in May, if they achieved the same results in Essex

Brisket 5th £90
Chicken 7th £70
Pork 10th £40
Ribs 8th £60

They would be walking away with £260. This is probably the most cost effective competition for new teams. I cant imagine anyone losing out especially as entry is only £100.

Good luck to all those taking part, looking forward to seeing you all!

GC is eligible for the European place at the Jack Daniels Invitational and American Royal invitational, to qualify team members must hold EU passports.

Great work Toby - though not a competitor I can see that this really eases the cost of entry worries that newbies are concerned about.
