I've been involved with the BBBQS since the first event in May 09 and I'm the bloke who's set up this forum.
I've been a keen cook for years but I only started real BBQ in March 09 so I'm still pretty new to it. It's been a rollercoaster year, competing in the UK twice then going out to Kansas City to be part of the BBBQS team at the American Royal!!! Oh and I managed to get married inbetween.
All I can say is that it's been a pleasure to be part of the society and I value the friends that I've made over the last year, we've really become one big (if slightly dysfunctional
