Hi All

Post by Tom99 »

Hey all just wanted to say hi. I am relatively new to the joys of BBQ in all honesty. I was brought up purely on gas grilling of burgers, chicken and sausages, but over the last couple of years my eyes have been opened to the wonders of slow cooking over charcoal with the added benefits of smoke and rubs.

I got myself a Weber One touch 3 years ago and have not looked back since, to the extent that my wife is beginning to question my sanity when she sees me going outside in all weather to light the bbq in order to try a new recipe or method i have found. :D

Welcome to the forum. My family have ceased questioning my sanity having seen me cook in rain, wind, snow and even minus 10 temps once (it would be nice to cook in the sun at least more than once a year.... They've decided I must be nutty but they like the food and at least it keeps me out of the way.

Cheers guys, I am based on the Beds/Cambs border a bit better for BBQ weather than when I lived in the north east, although it doesn't feel like it much these days...
