What do your store your rub or rubs in?

Looking for something decent to store my rubs and herbs and spice in what do you guys use?

I bought a load of self-sealing jam jars (the ones with the bit of spongy plastic to help create an air tight seal) from the Jam Jar Shop - I use these for making jams etc but they also work well for storing dry rubs & sauces etc.

I got some Tupperware type jars from poundland soe years ago. They ave a screw cap and came in various sizes. Works very well. I think as long as the container is air tight, you are ok.

I also use a produce called Dry Spice, (http://www.dryspice.com/) which I was able to give out some samples of at MiM. Maybe someone who used them can let me/us know if they are any good?

Please tell me you're not making jam on your joe too

I use the glass jars with the hinged lids, normally able to pick them up in the supermarket for £2 to £4

Now for a really geeky point Although they are made by the Kilner company they are not strictly Kilner jars. The original Kilner jar had a seperate glass stopper with a rubber "washer" secured by a metal screw ring. They were used for home preserving fruit etc., my mam had dozens which sadly got lost after her passing.

Errrrr...... no

We've a fair few Crab Apple trees on the lane I live on & make crab apple & pepper jelly to go with what's cooked on the Joe!
