Presumably Steve your referring to the calendar period commonly referred to as Summer, rather than the prevailing meteorological conditions.

I'll compromise and use the word brunch.
In my (miserable) defence, I didn't eat when I got up, I didn't eat that fry-up until 11:00am, and I'll have nothing else to eat until tonight (probably 7:30pm-ish) apart from a cup of coffee and a bun.
And it's a one off because it's the first day of the holidays.
