Indeed. If I went to one of these places, I'd enjoy talking to these culinary philosophers as much as eating the food.

I recocnise quite a few of these guys from Triple D & MvF, they certainly seem to be part of their local community, shame that attitude doesn't carry across "The Pond" too well. These gents epitomize all that is good in food & community. Sadly we can't move to get the same sort of hospitality. We're just waiting for a "Family Oriented & Friendly" restaurant to open.
