These look quite nice, robust, and not too expensive.

At first glance they look okay, we've enough people with SA links to atest for their authenticity.

Authenticity to what?

If you've ever looked for a firebox - they are usually either poorly made, or very expensive. This one seems a bit on the small side - but as a portable and strong device (that photo with the LandRover sitting on the box sells it) - for 50 quid seems like very good value.

Granted they appear strong, but are they any good to cook with? If they are based on SA grills we have SA members on here who could attest to their authenticity. Strong build quality doesn't always mean good cooking kit.

I never saw anything like that there when I lived in SA. It's basically a firebox - designed to be portable.

Well that clears that up, no-one I showed it to had seen one like it either. Still doesn't mean it's bad...........or good. I'll leave it to the more experimental & affluent members to review it, we're more then happy with our SoH Clone. That and the fact there are very few easily accesible areas of "wilderness/parkland" where you can use a BBQ these days.
