PitMasters Mayhem in May 2013

IBQN PitMasters competition. Traditionally at the end of May but due to a clash with another event we have decided to move it to the first bank holiday. This will be an American Royal Qualifier and a Jack Daniels Bung in a barrel qualifier.

This will be held at IBQN HQ, Tongham, Surrey. As usual teams are welcome to arrive on the Friday. Showers and toilets onsite. Hoping to be able to make a few more announcements about this weekend soon. Team entry is £125. Full rules can be found here http://ibqn.com/?page_id=115

Been working on the costs and logistics and have finished updating the pitmasters site (well almost) if you want to enter or get more info about the comp please go to www.pitmasters.co.uk Entry has been revised to £50 per team. as usual we can supply a competition meat box at cost which consists of 1 x brisket. 1 x pork butt, 2 x racks of ribs and 12 chicken thighs which costs £100. This weekend will be more than just the pitmasters competition and I will be releasing more info as its confirmed.

Would international teams be welcome to this event? How would that work with the Jack Daniels Invitational - would you just choose the best British team?

All teams are of course welcome, the jack imposes regulations which are part of our rules, the British place can only be won by a British team and the European place by any European team.

I was speaking to some German BBQ'ers - i suggested they take a look at the pitmasters site and think about coming along to your competition next year.
