Brinkmann smoker mods

Post by smitty »

Well it's took longer than it should of but I've finished modding my cheap little brinkmann.

Bought it ages ago for £40 found a web site that showed all the mods needed to actually make it work and hey presto here is its journey.

So here it as standard

Fitted some bolts and used some weber grates to raise it up so the ash wouldn't block the vents

Fitted some legs to raise it up for better airflow

Fitted proper adjustable vents as it didn't have any intakes

Fitted a bracket for a middle shelf

Also an adjustable vent for the lid

The lid fitted terrible with a huge gap all round so used a stove rope to seal the gap

Then fired it up for a test burn, still a few gaps and leaks but pretty good considering

Can't wait to start cooking on it
