Saw these on sale today at Waitrose, I was intrigued enough to pick up the bag until I noticed the price

Fifteen quid!!!!! :o

They are available online for a lot cheaper though

Didn't think Waitrose did clearance offers, I'll still keep my eyes peeled though ;)

I dont have whiskey barrel oak chunks ( will look into it though) but i do have red wine barrel oak chunks and shavings ! if anyones interested and not at silly prices mentioned in this thread ( will be selling on ebay shortly)

the chunks ( or bigger stave parts if you like ) are lovely and sweetly aromatic, the inside surface is burnt/blackened as this is part of how the sterilise them, chunks will have blackened surface on one side, unless you want it removed, shavings have the black surface removed and discarded before i collect the remainder.
I have a regular massive stock of these available if anyones interested and could even do full sacks but transport costs are very restrictive.

Hi Andy, you'll have to put a link up when you're ready for selling, The red wine sounds interesting.
