Has anyone used the pizza kettle attachment for a weber 57cm

Feel free to ask any questions, one of the experts will certainly respond, don't be afraid to ask anything, we were all beginners at some point.

Has anyone used the pizza kettle attachment for a weber 57cm

Post by saveloy »

Hi all,

I am interested in getting the wood fired pizza oven attachment for my Weber OTP 57, not the weber one but the import. Has anyone got/used one? And has anyone sussed out if you can buy a smokenator from a UK dealer yet?

Thanks!

They are now shown on the Weber website and magazine - anyone had a chance to try one or see one yet?

Was really interested in http://uuni.myshopify.com/products/pre- ... pizza-oven at £180
how much is the Weber in comparison?

I was told by these guys http://www.bbqs2u.co.uk/284-weber-charc ... -6520.html to expect them in stock in a week or so.

Hopefully worth the wait!

The Weber one? or the non-weber?

I've got the weber one and have done a few runs out with it now. First go was a bit of a disaster as didn't cook the pizza long enough and had problems rotating it. However, got easier and better with each pizza. And I'm quite happy using it now. Making a bunch of pizzas for the family is pretty cheap and reasonably quick - the kids enjoy joining in.

If I had a criticism (and you can level exactly the same thing at the rotisserie) is that it turns your BBQ into a one dish device whilst it is being used. Understandable really. But if you've got visions of BBQs with Pizza and other BBQ'd dishes then you need to be thinking in terms of multiple grills.

I sat through the pizza oven demo at Grillstock and tasted its wares. Aside from the fact that the sample I got had anchovy on it, I was impressed. Enough that I'm considering getting one myself.

I'm hoping to be using my weber pizza one over the weekend - i'll let you know how it goes! Make sure you get the kit with the paddle tool thingy. I cant imagine how you'd get the pizza out without one!
