Hi from not so sunny Bedfordshire
Hi All
Just thought I would introduce myself& say hi to you all,
as an average British male I have been "A Man of Fire" all my adult life making do with your standard fare BBQ equipment but have progressed over the last 5 years to owning a "proper" Weber & have also dabbled with smoking via a trusty old Brinkmann that has served be well for a number of years unaware of the problems I was having with it
My poor old Brinkmann water tray finally gave up the ghost & sprung a leak right in the middle of cooking a couple of chickens about 2 hours before a load of friends were due round so after a disastrous evening finishing them off on the trusty Weber
looked into getting spare parts for it & stumbled upon the online BBQ community
had a look at some of the BBQs that were part of the "cook off" at the American Festival at Brands Hatch the other weekend where I spend most of my weekends Flag Marshalling & decided to either mod the trusty old Brinkmann or get a new one (or both)
so here I am learning loads, already stocked up on Blue Bag Charcoal from Bookers & looking forward to the next level

Hi Martin, just so you are aware you are not alone, there is the Beds Bretheren group on here so you are in good company. Glad you got time to check out the line at Brands, hopefully we'll be there next year.
